"Thank you for your M40 calendar, it will certainly bring back a lot of memories. Although long retired, I was a traffic patrol officer on the M40 when there were dedicated motorway patrols. I was beat officer at Stokenchurch when the first section of M40 was constructed between Stokenchurch and Handy Cross. The next section was from Handy Cross to Denham and M25. The latest section to Birmingham was built a few years later."
